The museum is set out over four levels with plenty to see, not just cars but also aircraft engines, a plane and a speedboat.

Following our tour of the museum, we’ll stop for lunch at the exquisite Ristorante Olio located on the ground floor of The Box, a multifunctional space dedicated to fine dining, art… and engines! The common thread of the whole project is oil, which proves to be one of the key ingredients of all dining options. But the reference is also to engine oil and canvas oil.

Next, we will visit Zagato, the oldest Italian coachbuilder, that has shaped the development of cars for over a century. Ugo Zagato was an Italian automotive designer and builder who began his coach building career in 1919. He transferred various construction techniques he was familiar with from his career in aeronautics to the automotive sector. Cars of the time were often bulky and heavy; Ugo Zagato designed them as lightweight structures with a frame in sheet aluminum similar to an aircraft fuselage. Over the years, the company has created exclusive and innovative cars and rare bodies for various marques from Ferrari to Alfa Romeo.

This exciting day will end with a fabulous dinner in our hotel.

Since then, the company has been responsible for the design of more than 60 million cars produced worldwide.

After a quick lunch in Turin, we’ll head to Carrozzeria Pininfarina, an Italian car design firm and coachbuilder famous for its Ferrari designs. The company was founded by Battista “Pinin” Farina in 1930. Pininfarina is currently engaged by a wide variety of car manufacturers to design vehicles such as Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Maserati to name just a few. Since the 1980s, Pininfarina has also designed high-speed trains, buses, trams, rolling stocks, automated light rail cars, people movers, yachts, airplanes, and private jets.

After our tours, we will check into the NH Torino Lingotto Congress Hotel. Lingotto is a building complex in Turin that once housed a car factory built by the Italian automotive company Fiat. The building also has the iconic Pista 500 rooftop track, previously used by Fiat as a test track.

Drinks and a 3-course dinner await us tonight at the delightful NH Torino Lingotto Congress Hotel in Turin.

The museum also houses historical data, photographs, sales brochures, construction diagrams and more – everything they were able to collect that is related to cars.

It houses famous Italian industrialist Gianni Agnelli’s art collection and is located on the top floor of the Lingotto complex. The former FIAT car factory, built in the 1920s and shuttered in 1982, was transformed into a multi-purpose building by Renzo Piano at the end of the 1990s. Hailed by Le Corbusier as one of the most impressive sights in history, the building has an incredible feature: a rooftop pista where new cars were once tested at high speeds along a pair of parabolic bends. This area has been transformed into a sustainable oasis and includes an open-air art gallery and evergreen vegetation.
