DAY 1 - Depart from Home
Sunday, June 8 –Depart from your home for your overnight flight to Paris CDG airport France
DAY 2 - Let the Adventure Begin
Monday, June 9
- Enjoy high speed TGV train service from Paris to Le Mans or VIP road transfer.
- Chateau champagne reception on arrival.
- Transfers to Le Mans town center.
- Welcome dinner in Le Mans town center.
- Transfers back to chateau.
DAY 3 - History & Discovery Day
Tuesday, June 10
- Breakfast at the chateau
- Robin Donovan Le Mans driver commented lap of the 10km road part of the circuit
- Le Mans Museum tour finishing with a visit to official ACO shop for souvenirs
- Lunch at the renowned ‘Hotel de France’ in Chartre-sur-le-Loire
- A favorite hangout for many famous teams and drivers and celebrities for decades from Steve McQueen to Stirling Moss, Mario Andretti to Jackie Stewart, Jackie Onasis to Bobby Kennedy.
- Circuit familiarisation afternoon – pit walk, driver autograph sessions, view pit-stop challenge competition
- Robin Donovan Le Mans driver commented lap of the 10km road part of the circuit.
- Dinner at ‘Le Baraque a Boeuf’ restaurant in the picturesque 14th century Le Mans ‘old quarter’
- Transfers back to chateau
DAY 4 - D-Day Beaches & Bayeaux Tour (Option 1)
Wednesday, June 11
- Breakfast at Chateau after guests have equipped themselves with an overnight bag
- Early morning transfer to Normandy (journey time 2.5 – 3 hours).
- D-Day sites to include Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and Dog Green.
- We then visit the U.S. Cemetery at Coleville (shown at the end of the Saving Private Ryan movie).
- Lunch will be in the celebrated Hotel Le Lion D’Or.
- Illustrious guests here have included Steven Spielberg & Tom, Dwight Eisenhower & Charles de Gaulle, Ernest Hemmingway and even Prince (now King) Charles III.
- Afterwards we tour the Battle of Normandy Memorial Museum in Bayeaux and/or the Bayeaux Tapestry.
- We stay for one night (only) at the Chateau de Bellefontaine hotel.
- We dine either dine in their fine restaurant or in the center of the medieval quarter of Bayeaux.
- After breakfast the following day we leave the hotel promptly in time for our busy Thursday activities
DAY 4 - Le Mans City visit & First Qualifying (Option 2)
Wednesday, June 11
- Breakfast at Chateau
- Transfer to Le Mans and tour the 14th centenary Plantagenet old quarter.
- Enjoy cocktails and lunch in the center of Le Mans at La Liberta.
- Visit the city’s famous 600-year-old landmark – the Cathedral of Saint Julian.
- Return to the circuit for the final evening qualifying session.
- Dinner at your VIP Panoramic hospitality base.
- Transfers back to chateau.
DAY 5 - Loire Valley & Final Qualifying
Thursday, June 12
- Breakfast at Chateau or hotel.
- Transfer first to Hotel de France for coffee stop and to meet the other guests.
- From Bayeaux – 2.5 hours. From Le Mans Chateau – 1 hour.
- We then transfer to the picture postcard town of Amboise set in the very heart of the Loire Valley.
- Visit Caves Ambacia, tour the wine cellars where you enjoy wine tasting hosted by the house sommelier.
- Lunch at Bistro L’Oppidum overlooking the celebrated River Loire.
- Then visit one of the most famous renaissance castles in the Loire – 500-year-old Chateau Chenonceau.
DAY 6 - Parade & Pre-Race Gastro Dinner
Friday, June 13
- Breakfast at the Chateau.
- We then either visit the pit lane and garages; watch teams practice pit stops OR (subject to availability):
- Enjoy a Legends lunch with 5-time Le Mans winner and Porsche legend Derek Bell MBE on the Mulsanne.
- We then head downtown to the ‘Grande Parade des Pilotes’ from exclusive facility right on the start line.
- With cocktails, canapes, and live jazz band.
- See all the competing drivers in vintage cars, dancing girls, costumed musicians, and marching bands.
- Later we enjoy a gastronomic experience at the celebrated Michelin guide restaurant of Auberge Matfeux.
- Robin Donovan to hand out signed copies of his new book ‘The Pits and the Mulsanne’ to each guest.
- Transfers back to chateau.
DAY 7 - RACE DAY
Saturday, June 14
- Breakfast at the chateau.
- Transfer to circuit and VIP hospitality base overlooking the grid and all the pre-race parades and festivities.
- Lunch at Panoramic hospitality base viewing all the start-line pre-race parades and festivities.
- Privileged pre-race grid walk – mixing with the drivers, press, stars and celebrities on the start line.
- Witness the GRAND START from your panoramic position.
- Enjoy a spectacular, early evening, helicopter ride around the full 13km circuit during the racing.
- Buffet dinner served from 6pm onward, refreshments continually available in hospitality base throughout.
- Visit the pits at night; view action-packed refuelling and driver change stops.
- VIP shuttle to dramatic points around circuit such as Indianapolis, Arnage and Mulsanne.
- Witness the cars with headlights blazing, racing into the night at speeds in excess of 230 mph.
- Your choice – head get back to the Chateau or stay as long as you wish.
- Transfers back to chateau available throughout the night.
DAY 8 - GRAND FINISH
Sunday, June 15
- Breakfast at the chateau.
- Circuit transfers to Panoramic hospitality base (unless you stayed the night here).
- If you stayed, then breakfast is served here from 7pm onward.
- Otherwise, VIP Panoramic lunch is served from 12pm onward.
- Witness the final dash to the checkered flag with panoramic views of finish line and podium.
- Post-race champagne celebration as you witness the throngs of spectators descend onto the track.
- Transfers downtown or back to the chateau to enjoy post-race celebration dinner.
DAY 9 - Farewells
Monday, June 16
- Breakfast at the chateau.
- We then say our farewells before:
- Early high-speed TGV train or road transfers back to Charles de Gaulle airport or Paris.
