Itinerary
DAY 1 - Depart from Home
Sunday, May 18th
Depart from your home for your overnight flight to Europe.
DAY 2 - Arrival in Stuttgart
Monday, May 19th
- Arrive in Stuttgart; check in at Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin
- Mandatory Drivers’ Briefing
- Ludwigsburg Palace
- Early dinner and drinks at Stuttgarter Stäffele
After you check in and freshen up, we will meet for the important Drivers’ Briefing where we will also complete the waivers of liability paperwork. Following the briefing, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the hotel’s restaurants, the Stüble. After lunch, we will visit the immense, 452-room Ludwigsburg Palace, one of the largest Baroque palaces in Europe. Nicknamed the “Versailles of Swabia”, the 300+ year-old palace also features expansive gardens to explore.
This day will end with a fabulous dinner at a traditional Swabian restaurant, the Stuttgarter Stäffele. Try their delicious onion soup – it’s served in an onion! Not only is the food wonderful, but the selection of wine and beer is fantastic! (D)
DAY 3 - PORSCHE Museum and Factory Tour
Tuesday, May 20th

- Lunch in the PORSCHE Museum
- PORSCHE pick up
- Dinner at Restaurant Zeppelino’s
Enjoy breakfast in the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin. After breakfast, we will board our luxury motor coach to Porsche Platz 1 in Stuttgart. You’ll be thrilled by our privately guided tour through the PORSCHE Factory and PORSCHE Museum, and we’ll also visit some closed-to the-public areas like the New Car Delivery, Goodie Store and Special Selection. Lunch will be in the PORSCHE Museum at the renowned Christophorus Restaurant.
After our delightful lunch, you will find the PORSCHE you selected waiting for you. The Team at PORSCHE Drive will introduce you to your PORSCHE, including familiarization with the PDK Transmission, the Navigation Systems, and the various routes to be driven. You will drive your PORSCHE back to the Hotel Graf Zeppelin where it will be securely parked for the night.
This exciting day will end with a fabulous dinner in our hotel at the elegant Restaurant Zeppelino’s. (B, L, D)
DAY 4 - Drive Bavarian Alps to Lake Constance (~340 kms/211 miles)
Wednesday, May 21st
- Drive on Autobahns to the Bavarian Alps
- Lunch at Hotel Schlossanger Alp
- Drive to Lindau on Lake Constance
- Drinks and dinner at the 5-star Hotel Bayerischer Hof
Start your first driving day with a delightful breakfast at the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin. After you check out and load your large luggage in our luggage van, we will depart from the hotel.
After leaving Stuttgart, we’ll drive the A8 and A7 Autobahns into the Bavarian Alps. We will stop for lunch in the Bavarian Alps at the charming Hotel Schlossanger Alp. After lunch, we’ll continue our drive to Lake Constance and the lovely island of Lindau. We’ll check in to the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, a luxury hotel located on the banks of Lake Constance (called the Bodensee in German).
The afternoon is yours free to explore the lovely area of Lindau.
Drinks and a 3-course dinner await us tonight at this delightful hotel overlooking the harbor on Lake Constance. (B, L, D)
DAY 5 - Drive to Lake Maggiore (~300 kms/186 miles)
Thursday, May 22nd
- Breakfast at Hotel Bayerisher Hof
- Drive over Splügen Pass
- Lunch at Hotel Bodenhaus
- Continue drive to Lake Maggiore
- Drinks and dinner at Hotel Eden Roc Ascona
Enjoy breakfast at the beautiful Hotel Bayerischer Hof overlooking Lake Constance. After you check out and load your large luggage into our luggage van, we will depart Lake Constance and begin our drive through gorgeous Switzerland and the Swiss Alps.
We will stop in Splügen for lunch at the Hotel Bodenhaus, a charming hotel and restaurant originally built in 1722 located at the foot of the Splügen Alpine pass. After our delightful and scenic lunch, we’ll continue our drive to Lake Maggiore on the Italian border. Once we arrive at our destination, the Hotel Eden Roc Ascona, you’ll have time to refresh and relax at this lovely lakeside hotel.
We’ll meet again for pre-dinner drinks and enjoy a fabulous dinner prepared by the chef at the Hotel Eden Roc Ascona. (B, L, D)
DAY 6 - Photo Rally – Part 1 to Lake Como (~ 60 kms/37 miles)
Friday, May 23rd
- Ferry to Bellagio
- Lunch at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni
- Guided tour of and free shopping time in Bellagio on Lake Como
- Return to Eden Roc Hotel
- Dinner at Eden Roc Hotel
Enjoy a fabulous breakfast this morning at the Eden Roc Hotel. We will drive a short distance to the ferry at Cadenabbia which will transport us to the Hotel Villa Serbelloni, a beautiful lakeside hotel and gardens on Lake Como and the lovely village of Bellagio. We’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at Villa Serbelloni. After lunch, the services of a local guide will show us all the hidden corners of Bellagio. You’ll have some free time here to shop and explore.
After returning to our hotel, we’ll have time to freshen up and enjoy the gorgeous lakeside setting of our hotel. You’ll enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the patio before another delightful dinner at the Hotel Eden Roc Ascona. (B, L, D)
DAY 7 - Photo Rally – Part 2 around Lake Maggiore (~ 240 kms/149 miles)
Saturday, May 24th
- Breakfast at Eden Roc Hotel
- Lunch at Osteria Paradiso in Rustica della Verzasca
- FREE afternoon at Eden Roc Hotel
- Rally Dinner at La Marina Restaurant at Eden Roc Hotel
Enjoy another fabulous breakfast this morning at the Eden Roc Hotel. After a quick review of the “rules” of the Photo Rally, we will drive through gorgeous northern Italian countryside around beautiful Lake Maggiore.
We’ll meet for lunch in Rustica della Verzasca at the charming Osteria Paradiso. Be sure to turn in your score sheets before lunch for extra points!
After lunch, you will return to the Eden Roc Hotel on your own. Perhaps you might want to explore this charming area in the afternoon or just return to the hotel and indulge in its luxurious amenities.
Pre-dinner drinks and our famous Rally Banquet with “valuable” prizes will be at the Eden Roc Hotel this evening. (B,L,D)
DAY 8 - Return to Stuttgart via Black Forest (~600 kms/373 miles)
Sunday, May 25th
- Breakfast at Eden Roc Hotel
- Drive to the Black Forest
- Lunch at Restaurant Rheinmühle in Büsingen
- Return PORSCHE, check in to Hotel Graf Zeppelin
- Dinner at the Restaurant CUBE
Enjoy your last delightful breakfast this morning before checking out of the Eden Roc Hotel and loading your luggage in our luggage van. We’ll depart, driving through the Swiss Alps into Germany’s Black Forest. We will stop for lunch in Büsingen at the Restaurant Rheinmühle which sits along the banks of the Rhine River.
After our scenic and delicious lunch, we’ll continue our drive back to Stuttgart and to the PORSCHE Museum where you must sadly return your PORSCHE! Our motor coach will return us to the Hotel Graf Zeppelin. This evening, we will take a short walk to the fabulous Restaurant CUBE where not only are the food and drinks wonderful, but the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows is spectacular. (B,L,D)
DAY 9 - Depart Stuttgart
Monday, May 26th
- Depart Stuttgart and return home or travel on to other destinations
Enjoy another fabulous breakfast at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. If you are departing for North America, you will be transferred to the Stuttgart Airport for your return flight. (B)
