PCA Fall Treffen Plus Driving Trip

Wednesday, September 20 – Depart from your home for your overnight flight to Europe. If possible, we recommend that you arrive at least a day early (i.e., leave home on Tuesday, September 19th) to have more time to relax, adjust to the time change and enjoy the area. Call about our Early Arrival Program (hotel and dinner).

Thursday, September 21 – After you check in and freshen up, we will meet for lunch in one of the hotel’s restaurants, the Stüble, followed by the important Drivers’ Briefing, where we will also complete the Fast Lane Travel Waivers of Liability.

This afternoon our luxury motor coach will take us to the fascinating Mercedes Museum where the history of motor vehicles is on display. This evening, we’ll walk to Wirtshaus Lautenschlager for a wonderful Welcome to Germany dinner.

Friday, September 22 – Enjoy breakfast in the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin before boarding our luxury motor coach to Porsche Platz 1 in Stuttgart. You’ll be thrilled by our privately guided tour through the PORSCHE Factory and PORSCHE Museum, and we’ll also visit some closed-to-the-public areas like the New Car Delivery, Goodie Store and Special Selection. Lunch will be in the PORSCHE Museum at the renowned Christophorus Restaurant.

Later in the afternoon, the PORSCHE you selected will be waiting for you at the PORSCHE Museum. The Team at PORSCHE Drive will introduce you to your PORSCHE, including familiarization with the
PDK Transmission, the Navigation Systems, and the various routes to be driven. We will drive our PORSCHES back to the Hotel Graf Zeppelin where they will be securely parked overnight.

This exciting day will end with a fabulous dinner at traditional Swabian restaurant, the Stäffele. Try their delicious onion soup – it’s served in an onion! Not only is the food wonderful, but the selection of
wine and beer is fantastic!

Saturday, September 23 – Start your first driving day with a delightful breakfast at the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin. After breakfast, we will line up our PORSCHES at the hotel for our departure. After leaving Stuttgart, we’ll drive the A8 and A7 Autobahns into the Bavarian Alps. Along the way, we will stop for lunch at a charming and colorful Autobahn rest stop. You’ll be amazed – it’s nothing like a rest stop in the U.S.

After lunch, we’ll continue our drive to Lake Constance and the lovely island of Lindau. We’ll check in to the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, a luxury hotel located on the banks of Lake Constance (called the Bodensee in German). Drinks and dinner tonight will be at this delightful hotel overlooking the harbor on Lake Constance.

Sunday, September 24 – Enjoy breakfast at your leisure at the beautiful Hotel Bayerischer Hof overlooking Lake Constance. Today there are no set plans for you. We suggest you take a walk and explore this lovely island – it’s only about a mile around. There are many delightful shops and cafés as well as gardens and scenic outlooks. Lunch today will be on your own, either at the hotel or in one of the cafés.

We’ll meet again for pre-dinner drinks and enjoy a fabulous 4-course dinner prepared by the chef at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof.

Monday, September 25 – Enjoy a wonderful breakfast at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. This morning, we’ll check out and begin our drive through Switzerland into northern Italy.

We will stop for lunch at the scenic Hotel Bodenhaus, located in the Swiss town of Splügen. Not only will you have a delightful lunch, but you will also enjoy the fresh mountain air of Switzerland!

An exciting drive into Italy will bring us to lovely Lake Como and our gorgeous hotel for the next three nights, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. After we check in, you’ll have time to freshen up and explore this famous hotel before drinks and a special dinner in Italy at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo!

Tuesday, September 26– Enjoy a fabulous breakfast this morning at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. We will drive a short distance to the lovely village of Bellagio and the
Hotel Villa Serbelloni, a beautiful lakeside hotel and gardens. We’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at Villa Serbelloni. After lunch, the services of a local guide will show us all the hidden corners of Bellagio. You’ll have some free time here to shop and explore.

After returning to our hotel, we’ll have time to freshen up before transferring to a private ferry to take us to our dinner destination – a romantic island in the middle of Lake Como. Isola Comacina is a very small island and is famous for the restaurant Locanda dell’ Isola Comacina. The restaurant has several traditions that you will enjoy experiencing and perhaps participating in. After dinner, our private ferry will take us back to the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

Wednesday, September 27– Enjoy another fabulous breakfast this morning at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. After a quick review of the “rules” of the Photo Rally, we will drive through gorgeous northern Italian countryside towards another beautiful lake, Lake Maggiore.

We’ll meet for lunch in Rustica della Verzasca at the charming Osteria Paradiso. Be sure to turn in your score sheets to Peter before lunch for extra points!

After lunch, you will return to the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on your own. Perhaps you might want to explore this charming area in the afternoon or just return to the hotel and indulge in its luxurious
amenities.

Pre-dinner drinks and our famous Rally Banquet with “valuable” prizes will be at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo tonight.

Thursday, September 28– Enjoy your last breakfast at the beautiful Grand Hotel Tremezzo. We’ll check out and begin our drive back to Stuttgart. We will stop for lunch in the Black Forest at the scenic Alte Rheinmühle, an old mill converted into a restaurant on the Rhine River.

We’ll arrive back in Stuttgart in the afternoon when we must sadly return the PORSCHE we’ve fallen in love with! After returning the PORSCHES at the PORSCHE Museum, we’ll transfer back to the Hotel Graf Zeppelin and check in once again.

This evening, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the Cannstatter Volksfest – it’s the Oktoberfest in Stuttgart. It’s an amazing experience and a wonderful ending to your TREFFEN. You’ll enjoy food, drinks, music and so much fun!

Friday, September 29– Enjoy another fabulous breakfast at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. If you are departing for North America, you will be transferred to the Stuttgart Airport for your return flight.
