2023 Interalpen PORSCHE Tour

Wednesday, October 4 – Depart from your home for your overnight flight to Europe. If possible, we recommend that you arrive at least a day early (i.e., leave home on Tuesday, October 3rd) to have more time to relax, adjust to the time change and enjoy the area. Call about our Early Arrival Program (hotel and dinner).

Thursday, October 5 – Enjoy a fabulous breakfast this morning at your leisure at the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin. We’ll meet for lunch in the hotel at the casual Stüble restaurant followed by our mandatory Drivers’ Briefing where you’ll have a chance to learn about what’s different driving in Europe. The rest of the afternoon is free. We recommend you take a walk to help you get over any jet lag. The Königstrasse is just a few steps away from the hotel where you will find shops, cafés, restaurants and galleries.

This is Oktoberfest time in Germany and we’ll leave the hotel at 5:00 pm so you’ll experience the Cannstatter Volksfest – Stuttgart’s Oktoberfest – with food, music and of course, beer! You’ll enjoy a private seating area in one of the famous beer tents. It’s an experience you’ll never forget! Some customers in the past have designated this event as THE highlight of the trip.

Friday, October 6 – Enjoy breakfast in the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin before boarding our luxury motor coach to Porsche Platz 1 in Stuttgart. You’ll be thrilled by our privately guided tour through the PORSCHE Factory and PORSCHE Museum, and we’ll also visit some closed-to-the-public areas like the New Car Delivery, Goodie Store and Special Selection.

Following our morning tour, we’ll enjoy a special lunch in the PORSCHE Museum at the Boxenstop Cafe. If you are one of the folks who has been to the Factory and Museum before, you’ll have some other activity options, if you like.

This evening, we will take a short walk from the hotel for dinner and drinks at Carls Brauhaus. You’ll enjoy authentic Swabian cuisine and the restaurant’s huge selection of beer and wine.

Saturday, October 7 – Enjoy an opulent breakfast at the Hotel Graf Zeppelin. Please bring your large luggage to the Lobby, so it can be loaded into our luggage van. The next time you will see your suitcases will be in your room at the Interalpen Hotel in Austria. You’ll board our motor coach which will take us to the PORSCHE Museum, where the PORSCHE you selected will be waiting for you. We will introduce you to your PORSCHE, including familiarization with the PDK Transmission, the Navigation Systems, and the various routes to be driven.

After loading your small luggage into your rental PORSCHE, we’ll leave Stuttgart driving the A8 and A7 Autobahns into the Bavarian Alps where we will stop for lunch at the charming and scenic Hotel Sommer in Füssen.

We’ll continue our drive after our delicious lunch and drive over the Zugspitzblick and the Fernpass into Austria to our destination, the gorgeous Hotel Interalpen. Check-in to your deluxe room and freshen up before enjoying a delicious dinner following our pre-dinner drinks.

Sunday, October 8 – After enjoying breakfast at the Interalpen Hotel, we’ll leave the hotel and drive along Alpine roads to master amazing and challenging Alpine Passes: the Timmelsjoch, Brenner and Jaufen passes.

Between the Timmelsjoch and Jaufen passes, we’ll stop for lunch at the Restaurant Brückenwirt in the Alpine village of St. Leonhard in the South Tyrol area of northern Italy.

Returning to the Interalpen Hotel, we’ll cross back into Austria via the famous Brenner pass. Tonight, we are getting spoiled again with a first-class dinner at the Interalpen Hotel.

Monday, October 9 – The Interalpen Hotel will serve you an excellent breakfast this morning. Today we’ll drive to Jenbach, where we park our PORSCHES close to the train station. From there we take the 150-year-old Cog Railway to Achensee. There we will board a steamship that will take us to the village of Pertisau. A short walk will bring us to the “Strandhotel
Entner,” where we will have lunch on the terrace overlooking the lake.

The only way to return to our parked PORSCHES will be to, once again, take the boat and the train. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at the Interalpen Hotel before meeting for pre-dinner drinks. We can look forward to another culinary highlight at the Interalpen Hotel for our dinner tonight.

Tuesday, October 10 – Enjoy another delicious breakfast this morning at the Hotel Interalpen.

Today, we’ll drive on scenic Alpine roads, crossing back into Germany via the Achenpass. We will stop in the lovely village of RottachEgern on Lake Tegernsee in Upper Bavaria.

Our lunch today will be at the delightful Seehotel Űberfahrt on the shores of Lake Tegernsee with its views across the lake. You’ll have some time to shop and explore RottachEgern before our exciting drive back into Austria and to the Hotel Interalpen.

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon in the hotel before we meet for drinks and an excellent dinner in the evening.

Wednesday, October 11 – You’ll start your day at the Hotel Interalpen with a hearty breakfast. Whatever you cannot find on the huge breakfast buffet, the chefs in the restaurant’s kitchen will prepare fresh for you, the way you would like to have it.

Today you have a FREE DAY at the Hotel Interalpen. You may want to experience the spacious Spa, book a horse-drawn carriage tour, rent a bicycle, or if you want an outing, take your PORSCHE and do your own excursion to Bavaria or the nearby Swarovski Crystal World.

Lunch will be on your own, either at the Hotel Interalpen or wherever you wander.

In the evening we’ll meet for our pre-dinner drinks, followed by another spectacular dinner.

Thursday, October 12 – Enjoy your last breakfast at the Hotel Interalpen. Please have your large luggage ready to load into our luggage van. We’ll check out and begin driving the most scenic Alpine road in Austria, the Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse.

At the Silvretta Reservoir, we will take a coffee break where you can not only enjoy coffee and a pastry, but also the beautiful view of the mountains and glaciers.

After our coffee break, we continue driving on the Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse. We arrive at the Island of Lindau on Lake Constance and our hotel, the Bayerischer Hof, in the late afternoon. We’ll enjoy drinks and canapes as we check-in to our rooms overlooking the lake and freshen up. We’ll meet for our customary drinks and a delicious 3-course dinner tonight at the lovely Bayerischer Hof.

Friday, October 13 – Enjoy a delightful breakfast at your leisure at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof.

Today is a FREE day for you to relax and enjoy the Island of Lindau. You can walk around the entire island in about one hour. Perhaps you might find that special souvenir in one of the quaint shops. Enjoy lunch on your own in one of the many restaurants or cafés in the area or on the lakeside terrace at the hotel.

Tonight, we will meet for drinks before being spoiled with a 4-course dinner at the Bayerischer Hof.

Saturday, October 14 – After a fabulous breakfast at the Bayerischer Hof, have your large luggage ready to load into the luggage van and check out. We will drive country roads into the Black Forest, stopping by Triberg where you will be able to learn all about the traditional craft of cuckoo clock making and perhaps even purchase a special cuckoo as a timely souvenir of the Black Forest.

We will have lunch in the Black Forest at the Landhotel zum Hirschen in Oberwolfach before continuing to Stuttgart. We will be heading back on the Autobahn A 7, so you can enjoy another wonderful run on the Autobahn. Unfortunately, you must return the PORSCHE you fell in love with at the PORSCHE Museum in Stuttgart! Our motor coach will bring you back to the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin, where your suite will be ready for you.

Tonight, we will enjoy a Farewell Dinner at the renowned Restaurant Zeppelinos at the Hotel Graf Zeppelin.

Sunday, October 15 – Enjoy another fabulous breakfast at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. If you are departing for North America, you will be transferred to the Stuttgart Airport for your return flight.
