Fast Lane Travel invites you to join us for our 2021 ‘Inaugural’ Florida Snowbird Rally. We begin our Florida adventure at the Ritz-Carlton located in the elegant coastal town of Sarasota. Our early arrivals will experience a relaxing day in Sarasota. We’ll drive across the state to Sebring, located in the center of Florida, where we will stop at the Cowpoke’s Watering Hole for lunch and continue north to Orlando and the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. We’ll make our way across the state to the Atlantic Coast and take a guided tour of the fascinating Kennedy Space Center and learn about the history of our space program. Coastal-chic luxury and panoramic ocean views await us at The Shores Resort in Daytona Beach. We’ll visit the Daytona International Speedway and enjoy an afternoon at leisure in this oceanfront town. Experience the ‘real’ Florida in Mount Dora known for its picturesque lakes, rolling hills and quaint downtown. We’ll spend two nights at the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, the city that lays claims to being the oldest in America. Explore this history-filled town, visit the Castillo de San Marcos, the old city gates, the colonial quarter and the Fountain of Youth.

Thursday, March 11 – Arrive at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. Experience this luxury resort located in the heart of downtown Sarasota. If time permits, take the hotel shuttle to St. Armand’s Circle, visit the Ringling Museum or wander the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Tonight, enjoy welcome cocktails, dinner and a beautiful sunset at Ridley’s Porch in the Ritz Carlton Beach Club.
Friday, March 12 – We will drive across the center of Florida north to Orlando. We will stop at the Cowpoke’s Watering Hole for lunch then continue our drive to Orlando. Overnight this evening at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
Saturday, March 13 – This morning we continue our drive to the Kennedy Space Center and Visitors Complex. We will experience over fifty years of space exploration. See NASA’s former count-down clock, a rocket garden with original rockets from the Mercury, Gemini, Atlas and Apollo space programs. See the new Atlantis Space Shuttle display. Visit the Astronaut hall of Fame and the memorial honoring those who lost their lives in two space shuttle missions. Visit the original Mission Control building, view the incredible space themed films in the IMAX Theater. This tour is not to be missed! Enjoy two evenings at The Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach.
Sunday, March 14 – Daylight savings time begins today, enjoy the sunrise from your oceanfront balcony room. This morning we visit the Daytona 500 Speedway, opened in 1959, it is the home of the most prestigious race in NASCAR. Daytona Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world. The beach is twenty-three miles of hard packed sands, there are designated areas you can drive for a small fee. Your afternoon is free to explore Daytona Beach.
Monday, March 15 – Today we will visit the ‘real’ Florida, Mount Dora, at the end of our Photo Rally. Enjoy the old town charm this small city exudes with its relaxing atmosphere, glass like lakes, quiet country inns and shops, even an old railway station. This afternoon our drive takes us through the Ocala National Forest, the southernmost forest in the continental United States. See if you can spot any Florida black bears along the way. Historic St. Augustine, America’s oldest city, founded in 1565, is our destination for the next two nights.
Tuesday, March 16 – Morning trolley city tour of St. Augustine. Visit the Castillo de San Marcos, a 17th century Spanish Fort, the colonial and historic center of the city, The Lightner Museum, the former Alcazar Palace built by the American industrialist and founder of Standard Oil, Henry Flagler and see where Ponce de Leon found his Fountain of Youth. Lunch is on your own and your afternoon is free to shop, visit art galleries or take a scenic boat excursion around Mantanzas Bay. Our Photo Rally/Farewell Dinner is at the Costa Brava Restaurant in the hotel.
Wednesday, March 17 – End of Tour – Depart for home.
